It is commonly believed that summer is the best time to lose weight as heat is believed to allow burn more calories, but a new study says just the opposite.


A systematic review

According to the new study Published in Cell Reports Medicine, training in a cold environment can increase the body's ability to adapt to different temperatures, e increase the ability to burn fat.

As part of the study, experts from the University of Copenhagen looked at a group of eight men who engaged in swimming during the cold season and followed by a sauna session after each workout, all for two years. It was found that these were better able to adapt to changes in temperature, and they had one better thermoregulation.
