Sometimes too much hunger or the rush to taste our drink make us forget that it would be good to wait for the temperature to become sustainable for the mouth. Here then is that our language is at the expense of it, which, following the burn, can feel discomfort for several hours or even days. Of course, in this case, eating and drinking can also become difficult.

This happens because the skin of the mouth and tongue are particularly delicate and therefore they burn and become painful more easily than other parts of the body.

The best thing you can do when your tongue burns is to rinse it immediately under cold water. This is a simple way to reduce skin heat and irritation.

  • Drink water or very cold liquids
