Le Carrots Sweet & Sour I'm a prescription fanciful and hasty to prepare a boundary with a sweet taste and a very firm consistency. Perfect to accompany second courses, sweet and sour carrots are also well suited to season bruschetta or croutons to be served at lunchtime.appetizer.

For the realization of this recipe it is preferable to use fresh carrots and hard: the finished dish, in fact, must be very firm and almost crunchy. To be served both hot and at room temperature, sweet and sour carrots can also be prepared in advance and then possibly heated before serving.

  • 60 gr of extra virgin olive oil
  • 30 gr of brown sugar
  • 100 gr of white wine vinegar
  • 4 sage leaves

How to prepare sweet and sour carrots: procedure

  • Pillar carrots and rinse them under running water,
  • slice them grossly,
  • Than we cook them for five minutes in boiling water and in the meantime wash and dry the sage.
  • Cooking drain and put them in a non-stick pan with the oil,
  • brown, then season with salt and add the sugar,
  • to follow pour the vinegar
  • and add the sage,
  • mix, cover with a lid and cook for fifteen minutes over low heat.
  • Cooking when finished, let it rest for a few minutes before serving.


How to store sweet and sour carrots:

Sweet and sour carrots can be stored in the refrigerator for a couple of days as long as they are placed in special airtight containers.
