Fennel and orange salad, a winter side dish with a fresh and tasty taste, quick to prepare, preferably using organic and zero-kilometer products.

In particular, for fennel it is preferable to use those with a more rounded shape, while for oranges it is advisable to choose the “tarocco” variety which has a beautiful red color and a sweet and irresistible flavor. The amount of ingredients to use to prepare the fennel and orange salad is obviously at your discretion and varies according to your personal tastes. We have chosen to enrich the recipe with walnuts and olives.


  • 4 fennel
  • 2 tarocco oranges
  • 100 gr of olives (if you prefer pitted)
  • 100 grams of shelled walnuts
  • extra virgin olive oil to taste

How to prepare the fennel and orange salad: procedure


  • To clean the fennel, cut into wedges and wash them thoroughly by soaking them in water and bicarbonate, then rinse and slice them thinly,
  • to peel the oranges, leave them whole and slice them,
  • to merge now everything in a bowl, add the olives, the walnuts and season with salt and good extra virgin olive oil,
  • Than we serve immediately.
