Walking briskly: the greenest (and cheapest) way to lose weight

Walking briskly: the greenest (and cheapest) way to lose weight

Another study in favor of brisk walking: brisk walking reduces the waistline and body mass index

To walk, the secret to being fit is walk. If you want to shed those extra pounds, there's no need to scramble with zumba or advanced spinning sessions. All that is needed is to wear a pair of comfortable shoes and go full speed and take a good walk.

Yes, because if you go to brisk pace the effects are there and can be seen immediately. Thinner waist and lower body mass index: the researchers swear by the London School of Economics (it seems strange, but did you know that a course in Health Economics is held here? And it is also very green, because it basically serves to study the ways in which you can feel good by spending less ...).

In short, in a study, the British have shown that those who - between 1999 and 2012 - dedicated themselves every day for at least half an hour to brisk walking tend to reduce bacon and body mass index compared to those who have sweated and even a lot of exercise bikes and pools in the pool.

In particular, the London School examined 50 people in that time frame to see how their bodies could react to gym exercises compared to regular walking. Well, a walk of at least half an hour a day at brisk steps has proved to be the best way to lose weight and stay fit even from an economic point of view, because it costs nothing!

Furthermore, it has been shown that walking is a beneficial activity especially for older people and for women over the age of 50, which with the menobreak could gain weight. And not only that: it is now well established that walking reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease, extends life, prevents diabetes, keeps the mind free and reduces stress!

So what are you waiting for, forget your car for at least an hour in your day and save your gym membership. The secret to staying fit and healthy is only in your feet!
