Steamed apple, cinnamon and chia seed muffins, the recipe to prepare them soft and tasty without butter and with agave syrup.

Steam cooking takes place in a simple pot and the low heat will avoid unpleasant inconveniences: however, it is essential to use a lid that has the same circumference as the pot.

  • 1 sachet of baking powder
  • 20 grams of chia seeds
  • 10 grams of agave syrup
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 apple (105 g clean)
  • 150 gr of white yogut
  • cinnamon to taste
  • 12 single-portion muffin molds
  • 12 paper muffin cups

How to prepare and steamed muffin cotti: procedure

  • To insert the paper cups in the aluminum muffin tins.
  • Mix in a large bowl the flour, chia seeds, cinnamon and baking powder,
  • in another bowl mix the syrup, yogurt and shelled eggs instead,
  • cut the apple into small pieces or if you like to grate it,
  • deposit the liquid ingredients in the bowl containing the buckets, add the freshly prepared apple and mix everything with a spatula.
  • To fill with the dough the cups up to two / thirds of their capacity,
  • Than we pour two centimeters of water into a saucepan,
  • immerse inside the molds just filled,
  • to close with a lid and
  • a very low heat cook for twenty minutes,
  • a when cooked, turn off the stove and, being careful not to burn yourself, remove the molds from the pan,
  • e put the muffins on a wire rack to cool.
  • When the steamed muffins will be cold and can be served.

One more tip:

After the first twenty minutes of cooking it will be possible to check the cooking of the muffins by doing the classic toothpick test.

How to store steamed muffins:

Steamed muffins can be stored in special food containers and will remain as fragrant as freshly baked for four / five days.
