The study reports results that you do not expect. There Food Standards Agency (FSA), a British government agency from a country with a strong focus on organic products, commissioned a report, the aim of which was to evaluate the nutritional content of food products. Well, the results show that there are no important differences in organic food in nutritional content, or additional health benefits, compared to conventional products.

Gil Belle, FSA Director, said: "Ensuring people have accurate information is absolutely essential in order to allow all of us to make informed choices about what we eat. This study doesn't mean that people shouldn't eat organic food. What shows that there is little, if any, nutritional difference between conventional and organic food products and that there is no evidence of additional health benefits in eating organic food. " He then continued: “We recognize that there are many reasons people choose to eat organic, such as taste, animal welfare or environmental concerns. The Agency will continue to provide consumers with accurate information on their foods based on the best scientific evidence available ”.

The study was conducted by London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), whose team of researchers, led by Alan Dangour, reviewed all documents published in the last 50 years relating to nutritional content and health differences between organic and conventional food products. This systematic review is the most comprehensive study in this area to date. Obviously we expect others.

Of course, if this were the case, some of our beliefs would be less, even if some principles remain strong when we think of organic foods, such as improving the well-being of the environment that surrounds us or the taste of a fruit ripened on its plant. And, I add, when we have cultivated it, the pleasure of being able to say: “This is my product”.
