A new study published BioMed Research International confirm the properties of green coffee. A sample of healthy individuals was asked to consume green coffee and black coffee for two weeks to examine the different effects on cardiovascular markers.
Green coffee is made from raw coffee beans, not toasted but simply dried. Contains polyphenols important for our body, which once assimilated interact with our biochemistry, activate and regulate numerous functional aspects, which also include the cardiovascular system.
The experts, after each coffee intake, analyzed some parameters, such as blood pressure, arterial elasticity and urine values. They thus showed that the systolic blood pressure decreased significantly without any alteration in energy consumption.

The level of cortisol / cortisone, indicated by the enzyme β-HSDI was reduced after taking green coffee. Green coffee could therefore play a beneficial role in lowering the cardiovascular risk. It therefore seems that the consumption of green coffee can be associated with an active lifestyle and a healthy diet.
