Healthy diet and physical activity are the best way to have a flat stomach, but there are supplements and herbs that can accelerate weight loss and achieve a "noticeable reduction" in fat.

Do we have abdominal fat? A few days after the costume fitting, one thing is certain: that bacon must be eliminated, if only - in addition to being unsightly - it is also unhealthy. Having a fatty abdomen, the so-called "visceral fat", doubles the risk of heart attack, without necessarily being obese, and more: it can cause hypertension and type 2 diabetes. Finding ways to reduce the accumulation of belly fat it is therefore of fundamental importance. But how?

In fact, a study investigated the effectiveness of a supplement based on three herbal extracts:

  • white mulberry
  • melissa
  • absinthe

To investigate whether supplementing such a blend could reduce rapidly growing abdominal fat, the researchers recruited 80 subjects with abdominal obesity.

Subjects participated in the 12-week randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the blend of the three herbal extracts and showed a noticeable reduction in visceral fat by 20,5% after the 12-week treatment compared to baseline (the start of the study) as measured by computed tomography.

The change in visceral fat in the supplement group was "statistically significant" compared to the placebo group and 1,9 times greater than in the placebo group, the researchers wrote.

White mulberry, lemon balm and wormwood together would therefore be able to reduce visceral fat, but there are other herbs and natural remedies that might be right for us:
