Castagnole, the step by step recipe to prepare them

To be served as a snack and inevitable in a themed party, together with fried or baked chatter, damselfish will please everyone for their delicate taste and soft and light texture.
Simple to make, in this recipe they are offered with not very refined ingredients. You can prepare them either by hand or with the help of a planetary mixer, the important thing is to respect the order in which the ingredients are added.
Ingredients
- 500 1 grams of flour
- 100 gr of brown sugar
- 4 eggs
- 80 gr of ointment butter
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder
- 2 organic lemons
- 2 pinches of salt
- 1 L of sunflower oil
- powdered brown sugar to taste

How to prepare castagnole: procedure
- To put in the mixer the butter and sugar and start working them with a wire whisk, or combine them in a large bowl and work them with a whisk,
- to follow add the eggs, taking care to put them one at a time and let them absorb before adding more,
- to incorporate now also the grated lemon peel,
- and finally add the flour, salt and yeast a little at a time,
- working now the mixture with the hook to a notch, or knead it by hand, until you get a very smooth and non-sticky dough.
- To take a little dough and working it with the palms of your hands to form balls,
- to fry a few castagnola at a time in boiling oil, taking care to turn them often to uniform cooking,
- when the damselfish will be golden brown, remove them from the oil and put them on kitchen paper to allow any excess oil to be absorbed,
- Than we sprinkle them with powdered brown sugar,
- the Castagnole they are now ready to be served.
