Pistachios: the ideal snack to stop hunger and regain concentration

In the office the best snack is pistachios, to stop hunger and improve concentration.

Pistachios in the office to stop hunger and improve concentration. If it is now established that dried fruit, if eaten in the right quantities, is good for you because it is generally rich in omega3, vegetable proteins, fiber and good fats, now pistachios are elevated to the rank of the best mid-morning snack.

This is supported by a series of studies conducted between the United States and France, according to which a handful of dried fruit and in particular pistachios could be the right choice, in order not to nibble constantly and keep the level of concentration high.

According to studies conducted at Loma Linda University and the Focus Vision Research Institute in the States, a snack with a few pistachios would be able to stimulate intellectual abilities and reduce the possibility of distraction. All without fear of an excess of calories because, as a research by the Institut Paul Bocuse in Lyon states, a daily snack based on pistachios is not such as to cause weight gain, but could indeed add important nutrients that may be lacking.

In the Focus Vision survey, 1.000 people in sedentary jobs skipped breakfast and ate a 42g pistachio snack (about 1 ½ serving) between 9 and 11 in the morning. About 92% of the participants had previously stated that hunger was a distraction from their job duties and 80% of them said they were hungry in the morning before lunch and thought about food often or even every day.

In the sample experiments, pistachio helped in the office to maintain concentration until lunchtime: 92% of the participants found that the green fruits helped them to concentrate at work as hypothesized by the study, "in some way or strongly ".

"Skipping breakfast is never a good idea, and even with a good breakfast and adequate lunch, the stimuli of hunger and appetite caused by stress can be distracting, leading to bad habits such as eating the wrong snacks. ”Says nutrition expert Dr. Mike Roussell.

In short, what we must remember is that we must never leave the house without having a healthy breakfast. The secret, then, to not arrive at lunchtime with a wolfish hunger that would tear anything apart, is to bring with you a handful of dried fruit, which satisfies and is rich in essential nutrients.
