According to Australian scientists at the Queensland Institute of Medical Research in Brisbane, Euphorbia Peplus, better known - simply - as euphorbia, is a plant with many therapeutic virtues and according to their studies could become an effective weapon to fight skin cancer.
The virtuous characteristics of this ancient medicinal plant were already known to scientists and doctors, because its sap has long been used to remove more easily (and naturally) the warts; but apparently - in addition to warts - it would seem to be able to eradicate also something more serious for the skin and human health: the skin tumor in fact.
Australian scientists published their research in the British Journal of Dermatology, which demonstrates how the sap of this plant is the key element in treating skin lesions.
According to the scholars who conducted the research, applying the sap of the milkweed once a day for three consecutive days, you have a good chance of reducing the lesions caused by skin cancers.
After a month of study, the experiment gave clear results: 41 out of 48 injuries healed and 68,5% of them never came back after 15 months of therapy.
Basically, euphorbia gives very encouraging results in cases of tumors easily removed by surgery, while it is ineffective against the melanoma, the most dangerous one.
