A collective of French architects presented a green restoration project for the cathedral's roof

It is the green restoration project presented by a collective of French architects: tall trees and plants of all kinds in a place where the challenges of ecology and equal opportunities can be reconciled (also).
This is exactly the idea behind the draft proposed by Studio NAB, published on the Designboom website and called "Notre Dame de Paris in green for all of us", which imagines making the attic of the basilica a place in which to interact conservation and history with modern social issues and ecological challenges.
The project proposal includes one large educational greenhouse that extends over the entire roof, inside which it will be possible to host professional reintegration initiatives aimed at the poorest, with courses in urban agriculture, horticulture and permaculture, and spaces dedicated to educational workshops for children.
La central spire, burned and collapsed during the stake, moreover, would become an exceptional apiary, with dozens of beehives inside.
The oak structure, nicknamed “the forest”, will be reused to create all the planters and structures in the greenhouse, following a design that respects the original shape of the building and the different figures who lived there. Finally, in the project, the roof cover is designed in a gold-colored steel structure and filled with glass panels, all respecting the authentic sequencing of the roofs.
Since the fire that hit the Notre-Dame cathedral, there have actually been several more or less realistic projects for the reconstruction of the roof, alternating between those who would like to renovate it in the same way as before and those who want to reinvent it using current materials. But how do you see an idea of a huge greenhouse on a historic UNESCO World Heritage monument?
