His presence would be detected in the body of 93% of Americans. To make it known is theEnvironmental working group who has published in recent days the official list of 12 worst endocrine disruptors. Among them, in addition to bisphenol A, we find dioxin, atrazine, phthalates, flame retardants, perchlorate ion, arsenic, mercury, lead, pesticides, PFC and solvents.

Bisphenol A is at the top of the attention of experts. This substance is able to mimic the functioning of estrogen hormones in our body. It is indeed a real one synthetic hormone, which can however be mistaken by our body for a natural substance. Bisphenol A has been linked to the emergence of numerous diseases, starting with breast cancer, up to the problems of infertility, heart attack, early development, ai emotional-behavioral disorders in children andobesity. According to tests carried out by the US government, almost all US citizens have traces of Bisphenol A in their body.

How to avoid bisphenol A? Above all, it is necessary to limit products packaged in cans or plastic containers that may have been manufactured with this substance. Food self-production is the best solution in this case. The risk of the presence of bisphenol A would be higher for containers made with mixed plastics. Not all plastics contain BPA, but the substance may be present in many of them. in quantities that we cannot know at the time of purchase. On some containers, or plastic products - such as water bottles and baby bottles - you may find the wording “BPA Free”.

As emerges from the list of endocrine disruptors, the problem does not concern only bisphenol A, but a series of substances used in the industrial production. Bisphenol A worries us the most since its passage from objects to the organism occurs through food and drink contained in them, which we take to feed ourselves.

Now they wait new regulations against dangerous substances, both for the United States and for Europe. According to the United Nations and World Health Organization, endocrine disruptors result active already at low doses and can lead to health problems that are not always included in traditional toxicological studies. The regulations currently in force in Europe would be based on rather little knowledge in this regard, as reported by Huffington Post Usa. This is why it is urgent to check the current regulations and try to change the behavior of the companies, which they should commit to eliminate the most dangerous substances from the production chain for consumer health.
