  • oral hygiene products containing sodium lauryl sulfate
  • some types of food intolerances, such as chocolate, coffee, strawberries, eggs, nuts, cheeses, pineapples
  • deficiency of vitamin B-12, zinc, folate or iron
  • an allergy to some bacteria in the mouth

In some cases, however, can also occur in the presence of certain diseases as:

  • chronic inflammatory diseases intestinal
  • la Behcet's disease, a rare disease that causes inflammation throughout the body, including the mouth
  • HIV / AIDS, which suppress the immune system
  • celiac disease

Oral canker sores, treatments

In principle, mouth ulcers tend to regress spontaneously therefore it is very rare and sometimes useless to resort to drugs. It is obvious that if the aphta follows a specific pathology, it will be necessary to ascertain its nature and seek advice from your doctor.

As well as, if the canker sores are due to one deficiency of some vitamins (especially folic acid) and minerals, such as zinc and iron, you need supplement their nutrition.

  • garlic, a clove cut in half to rub on the ulcer

Other recommended remedies include calendula, hypericum and astragalus. And again: Bach flowers and acupuncture.
