The first useful rule is to try to prevent the problem. How? Putting everything into action a number of good habits. First of all, avoid that children exchange hair, scarves, T-shirts, brushes, etc. with their companions. and then check your children's hair frequently (including the nape of the neck) in order to immediately notice any start of the appearance of lice and to act promptly. In fact, if caught early, lice are much easier to eradicate.
Remember then that the search for lice and especially their eggs must be carried out in a place illuminated with diffused light. In case of direct light, in fact, the whitish eggs may not be seen easily and on the contrary camouflage themselves.
A good tip is then to wash your hair by rinsing with vinegar for the last time white or apple cider vinegar rather than plain water. Even the shampoo can then be added with a few drops of essential oils effective against lice such as tea tree oil, eucalyptus or lavender.
In periods of particular diffusion, some natural products can be used that act as deterrents for the rooting of insects in the hair. There is no need to buy specific products, often full of chemicals that are not exactly harmless for children. Fine-toothed comb

Vinegar

Olive oil
An action similar to that of vinegar can make olive oil which hydrates irritated areas but at the same time, given its consistency, helps to cling to lice and eggs. It can dip the fine-meshed comb in olive oil before proceeding with the elimination of the nits.
Neem oil
The most suitable vegetable oil in case of head lice is neem oil. A substance with excellent antiparasitic and antibacterial qualities, also suitable in case the insects have caused inflammation and redness of the scalp. You can use even in the preventive phase spreading a few drops on the skin of children, however, the problem is its often unwelcome smell and not only to lice!
Tea tree oil
Even tea tree oil can help those who have to fight lice cor like other essential oils (e.g. lavender, eucalyptus or cloves). Yes they can add to shampoo that is commonly used, make sprays like the one indicated above, combine them with neem oil before passing the comb to tight meshes but also simply spreading them on the headbands and headbands that girls wear to school.
