This is mainly because it was possible bypass many of the building codes and regulations that usually affect the construction of houses. Although the measurements are micro, the high sloping ceilings and white walls give the illusion that there is a lot of space inside. The pair also placed the fully equipped kitchen and bathroom at opposite ends to maximize the full width of the trailer.
Glass and windows are also strategic to give a sense of greater depth and bring natural light, as well as offering a view out to the woods of the property. There are many places to store objects and clothes, from the wardrobes, which also act as physical dividers between the "rooms" of the house, to the boxes under the staircase that goes up to the mezzanine double bedroom.
The house is disconnected from the electricity and water mains. The bathroom, in fact, features a Compost toilet. This means being able to say goodbye not only to house taxes, but also to bills.
