Il bisphenol A (Bpa) could play a non-secondary role in the development of breast cancer and in his resistance to chemotherapy. A new study conducted by Duke University has shown that Bpa contributes to the development of breast cancer and that it can make some cells resistant to chemotherapy.

During the study breast cancer cancer cells were found to be resistant to drugs prescribed for chemotherapy when the Bpa was present. Bisphenol A made drugs useless and allowed cancer cells to continue developing. Furthermore, the researchers found that Bpa, by itself, it could represent one of the factors in the appearance of cancer cells. The experts released the study results at the annual meeting of the International Society of Endocrinology and theEndocrine Society which took place in Chicago on June 23rd.

The greatest exposure to Bpa occurs through the plastic bottles that contain it. Scott Sauer, co-author of the study in question, said that even if in a small part the industry would be abandoning Bpa, almost all the inhabitants of developed countries would have bisphenol A in circulation in the body and would be constantly exposed to it.

The Bpa is a endocrine disruptor capable of compromising the normal functioning of the hormonal system. It is mainly used for the production of plastics. Instead of thinking about how to detoxify the patient's body from BPA, until now allopathic oncologists have immediately turned to chemotherapy, a treatment that unfortunately destroys the patients' already weakened immune systems. Right there suppression of the immune system it could lead to the emergence of new tumors.

According to the Duke University study, when chemotherapy is used in the presence of Bpa for the treatment of some types of breast cancer (with particular reference to inflammatory tumors), it is as if a real battle takes place in the body between drugs and this substance contained in plastic materials. If chemotherapy is ineffective due to the presence of Bpa, the cancer tends to prevail, with the worst consequences for patients.

A systematic review It was conducted on cells in vitro, outside the human organism, but the experts involved hope to be able to continue their experiments to go in search of new scientific evidence concerning the effects of bisphenol A on the adult population and with particular reference to the development of tumors.
