    Withdrawn 11 batches of diuretic and antihypertensive drugs: all the information on the reason for the recall and what to do

    New drugs recalled due to the presence of impurities. The EG EuroGenerici Company has voluntarily withdrawn 11 batches of drugs as a precaution: these are the diuretic Hydrochlorothiazide and the antihypertensive agents Irbesartan, Valsartan and Valbacomp.





    This was announced by the Rights Office which also provided information on the lots and formats withdrawn by the company. Here they are listed below:

    • Valbacomp 320 mg / 25mg film-coated with expiry 30/04/2023 and lot 11DGWA - AIC 040757320
    • Irbesartan and Hydrochlorothiazide EG 150 mg / 12,5 mg film-coated tablets with expiry 17/01/2022 and batch 70322 - AIC 040664029 
    • Irbesartan and Hydrochlorothiazide EG 300 mg / 12,5 mg film-coated tablets with expiry 06/10/2021 and batch 64053 –AIC 040664106
    • Valsartan EG 160 mg film-coated tablets with expiry date 31/05/2024 and lot 11FLVC - AIC 040782120
    • Valsartan EG 320 mg film-coated tablets with expiry 30/06/2024 and lot 11GGVA - AIC 040782219
    • Valsartan EG 40 mg film-coated tablets with expiry 31/07/2025 and lot 11J1XC - AIC 040782346

    These drugs are mostly used to treat hypertension. If you use them, check the batches and consult your family doctor without arbitrarily interrupting the therapy.
