Maacraft, a, takes care of making the most of all the manual potential and creativity of autistic children social laboratory in which people have the opportunity to become in all respects craftsmen and create sustainable style furniture (in fact, only materials of natural origin are used).
Autistic people, helped by professional designers, make high quality household items: stools, tables and wooden boxes, poufs, bowls and willow baskets as well as cute little wooden houses for birds. Small but useful objects that manage to blend contemporary design, socially useful production and sustainability.
Among other things, the laboratory is non-profit and all proceeds go to support the Miskolc Autism Foundation, an organization that provides day and residential centers, art programs and many other services and resources to improve the lives of people with autism.
The Maacraft social laboratory, which is based in Miskolc, Hungary, makes use of an occupational-type experimental rehabilitation therapy. Everything takes place in a protective and favorable environment for children, the working methods are flexible and the activities are tailored to the different abilities and predispositions of the individual participants who in this way they also develop social and physical as well as emotional skills.
Thanks to this laboratory, objects with an attractive and at the same time design are created you provide employment opportunities to people who fall on the autism spectrum.
