The artist Tsuyoshi Hayashi he chose the waste tiles as the starting material for his creations. The chairs made of recycled materials are thus transformed into objects of design and allow you to reduce the amount of waste directed to landfills being the ceramic is a non-recyclable material.

    The waste products made from ceramic are very difficult to recycle. However, it is possible to recover them to give life to new objects. Here the designer Tsuyoshi Hayashi has thought of developing one smart solution to give life to a modular system for the creation of chairs that see le as their main material waste shingles of Japanese roofs.

    The project is called Kawara Bench. You participated in the Young Designer Contest during the International Supplies Show 2014 in Cologne. The artist has thought of starting from the raw material of the tiles and using it to obtain chairs with an ergonomic shape and stools that will be perfect as pieces of furniture in a bar.

    The materials obtained from the tiles were installed on simple wooden structures to create comfortable and functional seats, with a clear eye towards the aesthetic side. The creation of the chairs and stools exploits the natural curved lines of the tiles and chooses bright colors, in line with the contemporary design.
