He is about to end up run over, his mother saves him
Un ecological faucet and design that allows save water and that shapes the flow in an artistic form. This faucet is called Swirl and was designed by a student of the Royal College of Art in London.
Tap water becomes art thanks to a stratagem consisting of holes that allow you to regulate and shape the flow. Swirl received the special award iF Haier 2014 for the best project presented by a student.
Simin Qiu, who conceived it, not only thought of a system to save water, but also of design. The water saving in using this tap is however evident and stands at 15%.
To obtain a similar effect from the point of view of savings we can add a backflow filter to the taps in our house, even if we will not get the same artistic result. In the new design example we find a built-in double turbine capable of creating a natural water vortex under the influence of gravity.
All this is combined with the holes in the tap spout, with three different structures to create different water features. Compared to the usual taps, Swirl is not equipped with a lever or knob, but with a one-touch button to operate the water flow.
Even if we don't have a designer faucet available, we can make a commitment ogn day to save water. We install the anti-flow filters on all the taps in the house and try not to let the water flow unnecessarily. A basic rule that we should always remember.
