If you dream of living in a comfortable home, without having to pay a single euro in bills, here is a solution that could be for you: the Dutch company Sustainer Homes in fact presented the prototype of a tiny house powered by renewable energy, entirely off-grid and complete with furnishings in sustainable materials.

Thinking about the needs of the youngest, who find themselves having to deal with ever higher rents and with a real estate market with exorbitant and, in fact, inaccessible prices, the team of Sustainer Homes has designed and built one truly unique housing solution: a low environmental impact and energy efficient container house, which can be placed practically anywhere and completely self-sufficient. A truly alternative home, which aims to respect the environment and cut all ancillary costs.

"Independence and sustainability will define the home of tomorrow." - states on the company's website - We want to move forward and lead the way, experimenting with all aspects of the homes of the future, which will be modular, mobile and intelligent. "

In four weeks, Sustainer Homes has created a prototype of 30 square meters, able to accommodate 1 or 2 people, thermally insulated and in strictly sustainable materials, starting from construction panels, derived from the recovery and treatment of agricultural waste, until to non-toxic paints, based on linseed oil.

The prototype is 100% off-grid, it is powered through a mix of solar and wind energy, it is capable of producing about 5.000 kWh per year and is equipped with a battery, to conserve the excess energy produced and allow a constant electricity supply. Rainwater is collected on the roof and is filtered according to the standards required by Dutch law, so as to be drinkable and can be used for all the needs of everyday life. The waste water is also suitably filtered and then released into the ground.

The container houses were designed to serve as real homes, but could also be used as holiday accommodation or as emergency shelters in the event of natural disasters.

Sustainer Homes aims to offer as wide a choice of models and sizes as possible: in addition to the 30 mXNUMX version, which has a cost of 75.000 euro, containers for office use and larger homes, dedicated to families, are also currently being designed.

In short, if you want to be 100% independent and have nothing more to do with utilities and bills, now you have an original and sustainable proposal that you can take into consideration.
