The future of bio-architecture? There nut shaped house. Designed by the London-based firm of Sybarite architects, the 'Dado Casa' is a new concept of passive house that takes advantage of the idea 9 x 9 x 9, that is 9 meters in the three dimensions, to increase the of the entire building.

A futurist cube that has its best part in the roof: a photovoltaic dome in the shape of umbrella that overlooks the building producing about the80% of its energy needs.

The dome works like a greenhouse: the air, heated by the sun, is concentrated in the hemispherical plasticized structure by heating the water stored in the tank inserted on the roof. This mechanism makes it available daily as well 300 liters of domestic hot water, even on the coldest and darkest winter days.

At the top of the plastic umbrella, then, the London designers have provided a turbine generator for electricity which, in the coldest months, supplies heat to the entire building, keeping the home warm and welcoming. Not only that, the photovoltaic cells, positioned at the base of the dome, produce additional energy available to the building.

With attention to the smallest details, the insulation system guarantees the highest standards of comfort and sustainability. A system of insulating walls, windows inserted in a photo-absorbing structure, and a roof garden are the three elements that allow the passive house to eliminate any air conditioning system that is a source of pollution and energy expenditure. 33 kWatt so, the 'Dado Casa' of the future is self-sufficient.
