    Sistri: companies boycott tests

There is no peace for the Sistri. The road haulage associations have announced a block until the Ministry of the Environment accepts the requests on the waste traceability system

He is about to end up run over, his mother saves him

Rest assured, everything is ok. Thus the Ministry of the environment he had reassured about the continuation of tests on the Sistri, the controversial telematic system of traceability of waste. According to the Ministry, from 24 October to 15 December, tests should have been carried out on some specific aspects, first to companies with over 50 employees to be completed by 10 November, and then another for companies with 11 to 50 employees by mid-December. But he had done the math without the host.

The Ministry's goal would have been to conclude the tests by February, period in which the Sistri it should definitely go into operation. We say "should" because the first blocks have come from the association of waste transport companies Asstri, member of Conftrasporto which has declared that its members will not participate in the new test cycle for the system of industrial waste trackingthe. Unless Prestigiacomo accepts the requests made to simplify the current procedures.

Second Legacoop, Confcooperative e Agci Sistri presents very serious problems and under the conditions outlined today, it could literally paralyze the transport of waste by road: "The hearing allowed us to illustrate our positions also in the light of the indications that emerged in the meeting of 19 October which took place held in Rome with our companies most interested in the system. After reiterating that cooperative companies are not against a waste traceability system, with our colleagues from the other plants we have again highlighted that the Sistri, to date, is not in a position to operate at full capacity and that the hypothesized start up on 9 February 2012, threatens to send the waste supply chain into a tailspin ".

A real mutiny which risks going on until the requests made by the trade associations are accepted. One among all the reimbursement of the figures already paid by road hauliers for the previous year: “Several companies have sent us the data on the sums that have been paid up to now for obligations resulting from the system; Taken as a whole, these are very substantial figures, which in years of difficulty such as the ones we are experiencing have a heavy impact on the budgets and risk having indirect negative effects on the employment level ”.

We await the Minister's reply Prestigiacomo.
