- Third: glass protects at best what is contained within it; therefore ideal for the safe storage of food and drinks, which do not alter their flavors.
- Fourth: you can recycle 100% and endlessly; glass is therefore one of the few materials from packaging inexhaustible.
- Fifth: the average percentage of glass recycling, in the countries of the European Union, is del 65%.
- Sixth point: making glass from recycled glass requires 40% less energy compared to a production that starts from raw materials.
- Seventh: the glass containers are the 40% lighter compared to those released 20 years ago.
- Eighth: in 2008 Europe recorded a saving of 13.8 million tons of raw materialsand (i.e. less CO2) which equates to 4 million fewer cars on the roads.
