Traffic divisions and pedestrian crossings that for a few days become art installations on the outskirts of Taranto.

A median with shades and pedestrian crossings that become a colorful staircase. These are the new temporary installations by the artist Domenico Campagna, a native of the province of Bari, who decided to give a touch of color to the outskirts of Taranto.

An artistic and provocative initiative to safeguard the suburbs with “art and beauty”, as Campagna himself says, who declared that colors are not paint, but colored paper applied to dry asphalt with adhesive paper.

Domenico Campagna has tried his hand in these days in the neighborhood Tramontone, in the south-eastern outskirts of the capital of Taranto and, between modern buildings and asphalt, has given new life to crossroads, streets and squares, even if only for a moment

"The installation took the time to allow some people to see it and then it was quickly removed safely."

His next forays will affect another peripheral area, via Ancona, and the postern staircase Via Nuova, to then arrive at the construction of colored silhouettes in the shape of a four-leaf clover that float in the fountain of the Virgilio gardens.
