Cat-shaped zebra crossing for kindergarten children to cross

A cute cat welcomes children who enter a nursery school in San Martino al Tagliamento every day. This is not a real animal but a design that has a very specific purpose, to act as a pedestrian crossing!

He is about to end up run over, his mother saves him

The cat-shaped pedestrian crossings that have been in front of the Friulian kindergarten a few days ago, were born on the proposal of the parents and were created by a group of mothers including Federica Pagnucco, illustrator, who created the lovely cat design you see in the picture.

After having been given the green light by the town hall, the original pedestrian crossing was created right in front of the nursery school so that all the children who attend it can use them to cross safely and are more encouraged to pass over them, avoiding crossing the road in other places.

As his creator wrote on social media, then: "no one will dare to park on top of him!".

This idea is actually not completely new, we had already told you about other original pedestrian crossings such as the one in the shape of a zebra and even a cat made in Vicenza and Thiene.

In that case, however, these were the work of a well-known architect while in San Martino al Tagliamento the idea came from the bottom and was realized by the commitment and good will of the mothers themselves, so we like it even more!
