For years he has taken care of a flower bed in the park of his city, but now he risks a fine of 5 thousand euros for violating the rules.

It seems really incredible that something similar could have happened but unfortunately it went like this: a German pensioner, that took care at their own expense of the park of his town, Halberstadt, filling it with wonderful flowers, was fined for not complying with the law.

The latter in fact provides for a ban on entering or damaging ornamental green areas, which unfortunately are often targeted by vandals. But he is just not a vandal, on the contrary!

The reason why this 75-year-old elder named Hans-Jürgen Scholz began decorating a city park flowerbed with beautiful flowers years ago is soon revealed: Germany's parks often have no flowers, due to vandals who they tear continuously, and he wanted to sow some color in the green. He cultivated them with a lot of love without asking for a penny to nobody, putting everything out of his own pocket.

Until the Common did not send him an official letter, without warning, informing him that he had violated the law, threatening him with having to pay a $ 5.000 fine. Meanwhile his pansies have been removed, replaced by chives which have now begun to fade leaving only the stems.

Obviously the tax bill left him speechless, also because in the past he himself was a member of the Halberstadt city council, and before now there have never been any disputes about his work.

Despite the complaints, the City of Halberstadt has no intention of backing down, reiterating that Scholz has violated the rules of the city's green space. Really shameful!
