“Older vehicles entering central London must now meet the minimum emission requirements or pay an extra daily charge, to be added to the Congestion Charge. The tax will be applied to Pre-Euro 4 vehicles in the area covering all of central London south of King's Cross station, east of Hyde Park, west of London Tower and north of Elephant and Castle.
Pre-Euro 4 vehicles are those registered before 2006, but Transport for London suggests that anyone with a vehicle registered before 2008 checks the emissions level.
