The Ministry of Health reports the recall of two Aloe-based products due to the presence of aloin beyond the legal limits
The Ministry of Health has published warnings concerning two products based on Aloe. These are the Juice Aloe Arborescens and the Recipe of Friar Arborescens, both of the Il Pulcino farm. The problem encountered in some batches is the presence of aloin beyond the limits.
These are Vonderweid brand products, made in the plant in via J. Ressel 2/7 in San Dorligo della Valle (TS). Pay particular attention to:
- Juice Aloe arborescens in bottle of 500 ml: lot 15115 - expiry date or minimum conservation term April 2023
- Recipe of the Friar Aloe arborescens in bottle of 500 ml: lot 05110 - expiry date or minimum conservation term April 2023

For both products, one is reported too high aloin concentration, higher than the legal limits. We remind you that aloin is an anthraquinone active ingredient naturally present in aloe but which, especially if taken continuously or in high doses, is irritating to the intestinal mucosa.
