It had already happened in recent days when the ministerial authorities had ordered the withdrawal of Conad dark chocolate bars, again due to fragments of hard plastic inside the food.

This time, however, the reference concerns the Ovomaltine brand. The chocolate was produced in Switzerland by Wander AG at the Neuenegg plant. Nothing to do therefore with the previous withdrawal. Again, Conad chocolate was prepared in Switzerland but by another manufacturer.
According to the safety notice released by the Ministry of Health, the new recall concerns Ovomaltine Chocolate in 100g bars and there are two lots involved: 1328913 A; 1328913 B with expiry date 08/05/2021.
