In particular, the recall concerns the velvety gluten-free and lactose-free BellaVita carrots and pumpkin produced by Pagnan Srl at the Asolo (TV) plant, based in via I ° Maggio 19.

The velvety retreat, according to what reported on the Ministry website, it contains the Listeria bacterium which can be dangerous for our health.

The recalled batch is characterized by the number L32117E with expiry date 17/05/2019 and consisting of 550 grams.

The Ministry of Health suggests not consuming the product and returning it to the point of sale where it was purchased to obtain an exchange or refund.

Why avoid consuming a product containing the Listeria Monocytogenes? The bacterium is at the origin of Listeriosis, with infections of the central nervous system including meningitis, meningoencephalitis, brain abscess, cerebritis. Immunosuppressed people, pregnant women, children and the elderly are especially at risk.

Among the effects also gastroenteritis in healthy people who have been severely infected. How does it manifest itself? High fever, body aches but also diarrhea or other gastrointestinal symptoms are typical of this infection, which can occur up to two months after the ingestion of contaminated food.
