Discount chain Aldi has issued a precautionary recall notice of two batches of the steakpfeffer branded BBQ-branded steakpfeffer meat grinder. The sale of the product is currently blocked.

The reason is the presence of Salmonella in the basil contained in the product by the supplier.

The packages of 95 grams with the lot number 125111 and minimum shelf life 07/2024 and the lot 125989 with the expiry date 08/2024 are affected.

The pepper preparation was produced for Aldi by the supplier Raimund Hofmann GmbH and has been available in all stores of the chain since 21/06/2021.

As a precaution - reads the note - it is recommended not to consume the product with the lot numbers and minimum storage terms indicated and return it to any Aldi store, where, according to the chain, it will be refunded even without presenting the receipt.

For other information, Aldi provides the toll-free number 800 370370, from Monday to Friday from 8.30 to 17 and on Saturdays from 8 to 14.
