A retired artist created a portrait of a 40-meter-tall surfer using only a garden rake. The result is surprising.

It took him six hours but in the end it turned out a true masterpiece. A retired artist with a passion for sand works has created a portrait of a 40 meters tall surfer using only a garden rake.

She is Claire Eason, 55 and a former doctor, and she has recruited dozens of volunteers to help create this beautiful figure in Beadnel Bay, Northumberland, UK.

The huge "splash" of sand was only visible for a few hours before being washed away by the tide.

“I thought it would be nice to do something to recognize these beautiful water sports - says Claire on the pages of Metro News. Surfing is something I like because it is not destructive to the environment and I like to promote an activity that has an ecological aspect ".

The artist drew the image with the aid of a drone to check its progress from above and had to wait until the tide had reached its peak and then left fine, moist sand.

And the result is truly exceptional.
