From the union of art and recycling, here are 10 incredible eco-robots that sensitize the world to the good practice of reuse.
TikTok's viral trick to preserve avocado is dangerousAfter the trash art by Giovanni Erbabianca and the installation by Alessandro Gorla, the extraordinary art of creative recycling becomes robotics. Old TVs, out of order motorcycles, abandoned cars in landfills and tons of WEEE waste they turn into cyber three-dimensional creations with an artistic and functional value.
From the union of art and recycling here 10 incredible eco-robots that sensitize the world to good reuse practice:
1) MotorCycle Man
He was baptized Motorcycle Man, a sculpture made entirely with the abandoned pieces of two wheels. The creation of the eco-designers of RoboSteel, made its appearance last year at the NEC Motorcycle Show.
2 meters tall, the robotic man took 750 hours to design and assemble the components. Do you think that he contains more than 1000, joined together with great skill. Some of them are Suzuki and Yamaha branded.
2) The recycled giant
By Michael Salter, the giant robot white exceeds 6 meters in height and, unlike the first, is made entirely of styrofoam, the polyester foam used for the manufacture of food containers, coffee cups and take away food.
Thanks to his ingenuity, Salter was able to transform gods lunch box in real robotic bones, to create a Guinness skeleton.
3) Wall-E
The sweet protagonist of the cartoon of the same name was created by the designer Filth Wizardry using what you would find in the trash of your kitchen: yogurt pots, cereal boxes, cardboard tubes from Scottex, a bucket and a plastic tray.
We are sorry to inform you that the little Wall-E will not help you in the kitchen but it can be a very valid entertainer for your kids who, instead of distracting you while you are struggling with the stove, will play with the new eco-friend.
4) Transformer Commander
4 meters high, this gigantic copy of the robot from the Transformer television series it features a rib cage built with old fixtures and a back of television antennas assembled to each other. Old tires and car components complete the work.
Definitely an unusual neighbor.
5) The typewriter becomes a robot
Sinuous creation by Jeremy Mayer, this robot is made entirely from the pieces of an old typewriter. To make it, Mayer didn't use any glue or soldering, just the art of interlocking.
6) WEEE Man
WEEE waste that becomes pure art. It is the creation of the British Association of Fine Arts that has decided to make this work with waste electrical components. WEEE Man weighs 3.3 tonnes, exactly the average production of WEEE waste that a British citizen produces over the course of his life.
The sculpture is located at the Eden Project in Cornwall and has been included in an educational project on the theme of artistic recycling.
7) MotoTransformer
Just a pile of unused metal components and that's it. The transformer you see in the image is an example of how the trash can become a treasure, transforming a motorcycle into a robot.
8) MusicRobot
A mini-creation equipped with a speaker and USB input for the iPod. The creation is by New Yorker Lipson Robotics who invested in the recovery of waste materials to bring these ingenious metal creatures to the market.
The MusicRobot is powered by a simple electrical outlet, batteries or USB port and adapts to any type of MP3 Player.
9) Steel transformer
Yet another extraordinary work of RoboSteel, this incredible example of creative recycling it is made up of 5.000 components ranging from parts of old TVs to car parts. Carefully assembled, it is 2,5 meters high and can be purchased for € 5.500.
10) Metallic Giant
It is very high, and it stands still along the roadside on the outskirts of Yuzhny about 40 km south of the Odessa port.
With its huge metal face, the giant robot seems to be smiling at the cars whizzing past it.
