Banksy: the reinterpretation of Monet's "The Pond of the Water Lilies" polluted by consumerism is up for auction at Sotheby's in London.

Up for auction is the reinterpretation of Monet's “The pond of water lilies, green harmony” by Banksy, an oil on canvas from 2005.

The work is titled "Show me the Monet" and is not lacking in irony, in perfect Banksy style. In fact, unlike in the original painting, nature is contaminated by the image of overturned shopping trolleys and a traffic cone. Clear reference to consumerism that has contributed to making us increasingly insensitive to the environment.
