Thermal energy account, the Energy Services Operator is preparing to launch a new section dedicated to the newborn incentive system dedicated to the sector. Introduced by the decree of 28/12/2012 e published in the Official Gazette on 2 January this year, the thermal account made 900 million euros available.
700 of them are destined for the private sector, while 200 are guaranteed for Public Administrations. What will be incentivized? On the one hand, small interventions will receive a bonus to increase theenergy efficiency and on the other those for the production of thermal energy from renewable sources.
More in detail, according to what illustrates the GSE on the specific page, the interventions that can be incentivized refer both to the efficiency of the envelope of existing buildings such as the insulation of the walls, the roofs, the replacement of windows and doors and the installation of solar shading, and to the replacement of existing systems for winter air conditioning with systems higher efficiency such as condensing boilers, both to the replacement or, in some cases, to the new installation of systems powered by renewable sources (heat pumps, boilers, biomass stoves and fireplaces, solar thermal systems also combined with solar technology cooling for the production of cold).
To apply for incentives public administrations and private entities will have to use the telematic system which will shortly be made available by the GSE, through which interested parties will be able to submit the request. What do you need?
access incentives, it will be necessary to use the instrument of financing through third parties, an energy performance contract or an energy service.
Subsequently, it will be the Energy Services Operator to provide for the assignment, provision and revocation of the incentives according to the methods and timing that will be specified in the Application Rules that will be published by the GSE within 60 days from the entry into force of the decree, approximately between two months.
