It will be called "Loving Vincent” and it will be a feature film on Vincent Van Gogh, its peculiarity is that the frames will be oil paintings made by more than 100 artists from all over the world.
The project started in 2014 is a tribute to the Dutch painter and will retrace life and art, for this reason the artists chosen to paint all resume his style. Kobiela decided to bring the film to life after reading a letter from Van Gogh to his brother.
The artist said that we are able to speak only through our works. These words were very important to me and are the real reason why I decided to make this film, she said Kobiela a Voice of America.
Through 120 of his paintings and around 800 personal letters, the feature film will tell the story of the Dutch painter. Processing should take approximately two years, the reason is very simple: each scene is shot live and then painted by the artists following the brushstrokes of Van Gogh.
According to the manufacturers 80 minutes of film may take longer than 57mila individual oil paintings.
