In the meantime, a wonderful light show has come to life and other images have also been projected onto the statue, from the flags of the countries most affected by the pandemic, to those of health workers, from messages of hope written by children to sentences of encouragement to hold on and be responsible.
A truly wonderful symbolic hug.
