Don't store avocado like this: it's dangerousPaintings and sculptures from creative recycling of bottle caps, or when up-cycling becomes pop art. This is the essence of Tappo'st Project, born from an idea by the Neapolitan artist Luigi Masecchia who recently arrived at the Pan as part of the event Naples Creative City.
The project which is based on the creative reuse of metal caps, collected in the various rooms of the Neapolitan nightlife and beyond, today includes about 20 works including paintings and sculptures all made with recycled materials and where the caps have the role of absolute protagonists. No more elements to seal bottles but pieces of works with a strong visual impact.
The paintings and sculptures of the Tappo'st project are proof that recycling can be an art if done with creativity, and becomes redemption if we remember that the project was born in the shadow of Vesuvius, in a Naples too often brought to its knees by the waste problem.
The works of the Neapolitan artist were exhibited at the Palazzo delle Arti from 14 to 17 March, enjoying considerable success with the public.
Among the most popular, Campbell's, a tribute to the famous Andy Warhol and the logo of the Municipality of Naples in 3D, particularly appreciated by the Mayor de Magistris present at the exhibition.
