Raffaello: the most awaited exhibition of the year reopens online, forced to close. How to admire it from home

TikTok's viral trick to preserve avocado is dangerous

It should have opened its doors on March 5th but unfortunately at the end of February the anti-coronavirus stopped the highly anticipated show dedicated to Raffaello. It will not be the same but now it is possible to admire it online.

Designed to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the artist's death, the exhibition was set up in Rome at the Scuderie del Quirinale. There were a few days left, less than two weeks to start, but the coronavirus managed to stop even what was considered the event of the year by art lovers. So the organizers offered the opportunity to do one virtual walk within the exhibition through the social channels. But not only.

#RaffaelloInMostra

With Raffaello In Mostra, the Quirinal Stables virtually reopen their doors with video stories and virtual walks inside the halls of the stables to admire some of the most beautiful works on display, including the Madonna del Granduca of the Uffizi Galleries, the Holy Cecilia from the Pinacoteca di Bologna, the Madonna Alba from the National Gallery in Washington, the Portrait of Baldassarre Castiglione and the Self-portrait with a friend from the Louvre, the Madonna della Rosa from the Prado and the Veiled, again from the Uffizi. All enriched with details and curiosities.

In addition, insights and backstage forays are available through social channels. It will also be possible to virtually participate in the meetings hosted at Palazzo Altemps before the exhibition opens to the public.
