It was presented yesterday in Florence, as part of Earth Future 2010, an interesting novelty in the sector ofdomestic wind. This is a mini wind turbine, ideal to be installed also in gardens of their homes, made with wood, the material that man has used since the dawn of time.

The small wind generator made of wood, called Nausicaa, was conceived and is marketed by the company Macht srl of Pesaro which for some time has decided to produce its own equipment using only bio-compatible and recyclable materials, in the name of sustainability and easily disposable. Plastics, structures and accessories are banned from recyclable aluminum while the blades are made of natural wood.

A choice deliberately desired. It would be paradoxical, in fact, that a company operating in the renewable energy sector would not also invest in the sustainability and compatibility of its production cycles, eliminating waste materials as much as possible and, therefore, reducing the production of waste.

Nausicaa is easily installed, has a diameter of two meters, weighs 25 kg and is designed to work both in "stand alone" mode and in connection with the electricity grid by means of an inverter, that is a converter of electrical energy from direct to alternating. There power varies from 0,4 to 1,0 KW / p.
