Keeps products fresh

2014 research published by Cambridge University Press showed that aloe gel could help keep fruits and vegetables fresh for a long time, without the need for anything else. The study looked at gel-coated tomato plants, which had helped block the growth of harmful bacteria. 

Helps treat canker sores

A study showed that aloe vera helps treat canker sores after examining 180 people suffering from recurrent canker sores. The subjects were applied an aloe vera patch to the area for 7 days, which was effective in reducing the size of the canker sores. 

Another study showed that aloe vera gel not only accelerates the healing of canker sores but also reduces the pain associated with them.

It is a great alternative mouthwash

Aloe vera extract is apparently an excellent natural mouthwash, thanks to a good dose of vitamin C that blocks plaque. Additionally, aloe provides relief for bleeding or swollen gums. This is demonstrated by a 2014 study published in the Ethiopian Journal of Health Sciences.

Keeps the skin clean and hydrated

Aloe vera is used in cosmetics as a moisturizer for the face since its leaves store a lot of water and combined with special plant compounds, they are very effective from this point of view. 

Prevents wrinkles

A 2009 study gave 30 women over the age of 45 orally aloe vera gel over a 90-day period. The result? The gel increased collagen production and improved skin elasticity, proving to be an effective remedy for preventing the formation of wrinkles. 



It has the potential to fight breast cancer

According to a study published in Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine, aloe emodin, a compound found in aloe leaves, has very strong therapeutic properties. To such an extent that according to the authors the plant has the potential to slow the growth of breast cancer. However, further studies are needed to confirm the promising results.
