How to do the Fukutsudzi exercise

The exercise designed by Fukutsudzi works on posture, strengthens the abdominal muscles and therefore reduces back pain. But how is it practiced?

  • 1) First you need to roll up the towel and tie it with the help of some ribbons along its entire length.
  • 2) It is then necessary to lie down on a solid and flat surface, taking care to place the towel on the lower part of the back in correspondence with the area where the navel is located anteriorly.
  • 3) Extend your legs keeping them open so that they are aligned with your shoulders. The toes must be placed inwards and must touch each other.
  • 4) The arms are instead long above the head and the palms are facing the floor. In this case it is the little fingers that must touch each other.
  • 5) Remain in this position for 5 minutes so that the muscles and the spine can stretch.
  • 6) Once the necessary time has elapsed, turn on your side, remove the towel from under your back and get up slowly.
