The communist bunkers are reborn in the form of museums, cafes and cultural meeting points: it happens in Albania.
He is about to end up run over, his mother saves himI Communist bunkers of Albania come alive in the form of museums, cafes and cultural meeting points. There are many scattered throughout the country, it is believed around 750 thousand, built in the 70s and 80s by the dictatorial regime of Enver Hoxha, who ruled from 1944 to 1985.
The reason? The dictator feared that other countries would invade Albania and in a crescendo of paranoia, he decided to invest many resources in the militarization of the country, at the expense of education and economic development, which were instead neglected.

Bunkers emerge unexpectedly from the mountains, in the countryside or along the coasts. Originally most of them served as a post for one or two sentries. But although they are not a good memory, the Albanians did not allow themselves to be discouraged and decided to turn them into an opportunity.
Many of them have been converted to museums and cultural points like Bunk’Art 1 e Bunk’Art 2 of Tirana, today places of memory dedicated to the years of the communist regime of Hoxha.
