The terrible images of the splendid white marl cliff of the Scala dei Turchi, in our Sicily, shamefully dyed red by some ignorant vandals, have gone around the world. Already yesterday, however, young volunteers from Agrigento joined together to respond to this ignoble gesture with love and respect for this enchanting land.
The responses on social media were not long in coming. In fact, there are many people who thank and support these young volunteers who together with the employees of the Municipality of Realmonte are trying to clean everything.
Meanwhile, the Carabinieri continue to work to identify the criminals who have made this cowardly gesture.
