You've always thrown away letter envelopes the wrong way

Separate collection, a letter envelope with an eyelet or a box of pasta with a window: is it necessary to separate the two elements?

Paper collection: where do I throw what? Sometimes separating the packaging is difficult, but know that in many cases it is useless! In fact, all of you will surely have found yourself faced with a dilemma when you had to shred one envelope with buttonhole: is it necessary to separate the two elements?

Well, know that you have always thrown away letter envelopes in the wrong way: what is not clear to everyone, in fact, is that the transparent window of the envelopes must not be removed before throwing everything into the special recycling bin (just as the window of the pasta boxes must not be removed).

The answer then is no: you must not detach the transparent part before throwing these things away.

Also remember that not only the eyelets of boxes and envelopes can deceive you and that they do not go when collecting paper, because they are not compatible with the recycling process:

    • receipts, which are printed on thermal paper so they are not recyclable and go undifferentiated
    • baking paper: it is a siliconized paper that cannot be compared to normal paper and also goes into the undifferentiated. Only compostable baking paper can be used in the organic collection
    • handkerchiefs, napkins and kitchen paper: whether they are clean or dirty with organic material, they must be placed in the organic and never in the paper. But if they are colored or if they are soaked in chemicals, such as detergents, they must be placed in the undifferentiated
    • plastic bags: if you accumulate the paper to be sent in a bell in a plastic bag, remember not to put it in the container, as it constitutes an impurity
