TikTok's viral trick to preserve avocado is dangerous"The boat", "A memorable fact", "Everything was back to being as before", "Variations on a return": four early stories by Andrea Camilleri, the Sicilian writer's debut, were found in the archive of the newspaper L ' Now, acquired at the time by the central library of the Sicilian Region, two years after his death.
Le four short stories can be found from 26 June on the Facebook page “L'Ora. Extraordinary edition ", the same title of the book edited by some former journalists of the newspaper that ceased publication in 1992.

He then decided, he was 24 years old, to try with that newspaper - they say from the Ora - then it was called "L'Ora del popolo", the newspaper with which he resumed the publications in 1946 - which, in the publishing scene, was then the only to have a third page devoted entirely to culture: “One day I made a choice of three or four stories that I had already written and sent them to the editorial office of the newspaper in Palermo. They didn't even answer me, but to my surprise I saw my story published after two days and so it was for four stories. These were the very first, timid experiences of me as a writer ".
Scholars were already on the trail of these texts that had never been republished and for this reason they were thought to be lost.
To remember Andrea Camilleri two years after his death, we will publish on the page L'Ora extraordinary edition - thanks to the fundamental collaboration of the Central Library of the Sicilian Region, which houses the archive of the newspaper - the four stories, on a weekly basis starting from Saturday 26 June until Saturday 17 July, the date of the writer's death.
