The photographer has traveled the world for fourteen years to immortalize the oldest and most majestic trees in Europe, Asia, the United States, the Middle East and Africa. Some of these trees grow in isolated places, in the mountains or on private properties, others manage to survive in the urban environment thanks to their immense ability to resist.
Each of these trees embodies a mysterious force that Beth wanted to try to make immortal thanks to her shots. Now 60 of the images featuring these secular trees have become part of the book “Ancient Trees, Portraits of Time”, which collects a collection of the best photographs taken by Beth Moon during his long adventure.
His images portray the centuries-old trees present in every corner of the planet. Some of the most beautiful photos are dedicated to the majestic ones baobab del Madagascar. The captions in the book describe the natural and cultural history of each tree, to try to give each of them an identity.
